Rosterminalugol handles 4th million ton, YTD
Since early this year, coal throughput of Ust-Luga-based Rosterminalugol terminal has reached 4 million tons, as of June 7th, the company’s press service reported. The fourth million ton of export coal was loaded today onto the Libertas bulk carrier. To date, the terminal handled 100 ships.

JSC Rosterminalugol was established in 1996 to build and operate the coal terminal at the commercial seaport of Ust-Luga. The terminal’s projected capacity is 8 million tons of coal a year. Rosterminalugol specializes in loading and unloading operations, freight forwarding services, building and maintenance of facilities at the specialized Coal Transshipment Terminal at the port of Ust-Luga. The company also provides insurance services for goods and property, the risks of transactions at the port. The terminal has two berths with a total length of 540 meters and depth at the berths - 14 meters to accommodate 240m-long, 32,2-wide vessels. In 2010, coal exports via the terminal rose year-over-year nearly 6% to 7, 5 million tons.
