ZIM hikes rates on Asia-S.America East Coast trade
Zim has announced a general rate increase in the Asia-South America East Coast trade, the shipping company's press release said.
The rate increase is effective July 1st, 2011 and is as follows: $500/20’ per container (all types) and $1000/40’ per container (all types including Hi-Cube)
According to ZIM the rate increase is necessary in view of market conditions and current unsustainable rate levels, and in order to continue to operate its services with same high levels of reliability and service to customers.
