Fincantieri names new Marinette Marine President and CEO
Chuck Goddard has been named President and CEO for Marinette Marine Corporation, effective immediately, Fred Moosally, President and CEO of the shipyard's parent Fincantieri Marine Group announced yesterday, MarineLog reported.
Mr. Goddard comes to Marinette with thirty years of extensive Navy experience within ship systems engineering and program management. During his time with the Navy, he worked on a variety of complex ship programs, culminating in his role as the Navy Program Executive Officer, Ships.
Since leaving the Navy in 2009, Mr. Goddard has been with Lockheed Martin where he has served as Deputy Capture Manager for Aegis Continuation, as Subject Matter Expert for LCS, and most recently as Director of Aegis Program Integration.
Mr. Goddard is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and received a M.S. in Naval Architectur and Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the recipient of the Gold Medal for exceptional technical and program leadership from the American Society of Naval Engineers.
Mr. Goddard's appointment comes within two weeks of the departure of Richard McCreary from the Marinette Marine top spot.
