Emirates joins Hanjin FMX service
Emirates Shipping Line has announced its participation in the Far East Middle East Express (FMX) service with Hanjin, which is due to start on 7th July. Emirates Shipping Line has slots on this premier Asia to Middle East service, the company press release said.
The port rotation is Pusan, Kwangyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Singapore, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Bandar Abbas, Karachi, Port Kelang, Singapore, Pusan
FMX is the fastest service linking Pusan to Dammam with a transit time of 20 days. It is also one of the most competitive services, that provides linkage from Pusan to Jebel Ali and Bandar Abbas.
In an official statement released Emirates stated "The Far East Middle East Express (FMX) service offers a superior coverage from Asia to the Indian Subcontinent and the Gulf. The uniqueness of this service is linking Korea directly to the major Gulf ports namely Jebel Ali, Dammam and Bandar Abbas, via the busy transhipment port of Colombo. It makes this service a comprehensive and competitive service in the North Asia to the Gulf trade lane".
