Port of Vyborg commissions new warehouse
On June 23, 2011, a new warehouse facility was commissioned at the port of Vyborg (Leningrad region), the PortNews correspondent reports. The opening ceremony was attended by General Director of Port of Vyborg LLC Olga Lukina, Development Director of CJSC Eurosib Alexander Puchkov and a spokesperson of International Paper Natalia Kivileva.
"This project is just a beginning of our partnership that we will be developing", said Alexander Puchkov.
The port authorities said the launch of a new warehouse complex will allow storage of 5,000 tons of pulp. This will increase by two times volume of cellulose shipment.
The new warehouse encompasses 856 sqm, the storage capacity is 2,000 tons. Investment in the project amounted to $ 5 million.
Warehouse is designed for storage pulp exported primarily to Poland.
The new warehouse facility is a joint project of JSC Eurosib-Logistics and the port of Vyborg, implemented for Svetogorsk Pulp and Paper Mills (PPM).
CJSC Eurosib-Logistics is a private logistics operators in Russia. The Company specializes in transportation of large diameter pipes.
