Ukraine ports’ throughput rises 1.8% to 64,8 million tons

The ports of Ukraine in January-May 2011 handled 64,8 million tons of cargoes, up 1.8% over the same period of 2010, the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine said.

River ports of Ukraine in the same period boosted cargo handling by 72 1% compared with last year’s figures, to 1,44 million tons. Seaports’ output rose 0.9% to 63,3 million tons.
