Everything is ready to ensure safe passage of merchant vessels through the Northern Sea Route during the navigation of 2011, a Transport Ministry official said Friday.
Oleg Zborowski, the head of the Transport Ministry’s Maritime Safety Department, said all the equipment, salvage ships and emergency response teams have been prepared for this year navigation.
The official was speaking at the 4th All-Russia Forum "Current state and prospects of Russian market of bunkering services" in St. Petersbure.
