"We are considering the purchase of joint assets and the sellers have already offered us nine licenses," Novosti quoted Mr. Fedorov as saying.
Rosneft and China's oil and gas corporation CNPC have also started a joint refinery project with a 13 million tons per year capacity in Tianjin near Beijing. Rosneft will get a 49 percent stake in the project.
Russia, which started oil supplies to China from 2011 through the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline, plans to deliver 70 percent of oil for the refinery from its East Siberian deposits.
