On October 11, Volgograd Shipyard (MNP Group) launched new chemical tanker project 4450, the Group informs. All-welded, self-propelled, single-screw tanker with controllable-pitch propeller, one continuous deck, with forecastle and aft, closed vented longitudinal trunk (cat walk) from fore part to the aft. With longitudinal impermeable bulkhead at CL, 14 cargo tanks (including two fore combined cargo/slop tanks), with ballast tanks in double sides and double bottom, with forepeak and afterpeak, ER and superstructure aft. Wheelhouse of enclosed type is arranged from side to the other side. The vessel is designed for bulk transportation of crude oil, oil products, vegetable and tallow oil and chemical cargoes IMO Type 2. Maximum density of the transported cargoes is 1.54 mt/cub.m at cargo preheat temperature up to +80 °С. Capable of carrying up to 14 types of cargoes in a voyage. Designed by Volgo-Caspian Design Bureau (MNP Group), based on 100A5 E2 ESP NAV-O RSD ERS BWM Chemical Tanker (Type 2) / Oil Tanker Environmental Passport MC E2 AUT INERT of Germanischer Lloyd (GL).
The vessel’s underwater part of the hull is covered with ecologically friendly material Ecospeed.
