Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard delivers multipurpose dry cargo ship of Euro cruiser type

Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard (member of MNP Group) has put into operation the Mirzaga Khalilov multipurpose dry cargo ship of Euro cruiser type built to the order of Palmali Group of companies, RZD-Partner reports. The project of five dry-cargo ships is designed by Maritime Engineering Bureau (Odessa, Ukraine). According to the Bureau classification, the ship is one of Azov 5,000-dwt vessels with high capacity and draft of 4.5 meters typical for mouth-type Russian ports of the sea of Azov. The vessel has been designed for transportation of general, bulk, timber, grain cargo as well as dangerous, bulky and heavy cargoes and international standard containers of 8.5-ft and 9-ft. Such vessels may pass Volga-Don and Volga-Baltic canals to the Caspian sea. Estimated service life of the hull is 20 years.
