The insolvent shipyard Lindenau Werft in Kiel has received a EUR 28 million loan from HSH Nordbank for the building of a product tanker. According to Lloyd’s List, the shipyard is also in negotations with another German bank for financing of a 35,000-DWT juice carrier ordered by Swiss-based Atlantship. Lindenau has an orderbook covering 2009 worth EUR 225 million. The yard is also said to be debt-free.
