Jan Christensen has joined OW Bunker as vice president of the company’s physical division. Christensen joins from Maersk Oil Trading where he was head of its fuel trading operation. This appointment highlights OW Bunker’s ambitious plans for continued growth, development and global expansion, the company said, Tanker Operator reports.
“It is a real coup to attract and recruit someone of Jan’s profile, experience and capabilities,” said Jane Dahl Christensen, executive vice president, OW Bunker.
“It is testament to the stability of our business, the ambition that we have for delivering continued growth on a global basis, as well as our commitment to sustaining a leadership position within the marine fuels market.
“Jan’s track record and professionalism speaks for itself, and his experience and knowledge of the oil and derivatives markets will further strengthen our offering and the value that we provide to our customers worldwide,” added Dahl.

Christensen previously worked for Wrist Bunker Supply, an OW Bunker subsidiary and therefore already has a knowledge of the group’s operations. He will report to Dahl in his new role.
