Another fire at Dalian’s oil terminals

Two large oil tanks caught fire in the northeastern Chinese port city of Dalian on Tuesday, and no casualties have been reported, local government said, Seatrade Asia online reports. The accident happened at about 6:35 p.m. at a dock of the Dalian Port, and it took hundreds of firefighters about an hour to put out the blaze, the Dalian municipal government announced in a statement.
The fire was triggered by lightening strikes that damaged seals on the oil tanks, the statement said.
This is the third fire involving oil terminals in Dalian in the space of the past 18 months.
