City’s position concerning entering any joint-stock company remains the same, and the city does not participate in authorized capital stocks of any managing subjects. The chairman of committee of transport (CTTP) transit policy of St. Petersburg Administration Nikolay Asaul declared today, BIA informs. So he commented on a decision of St. Petersburg authorities about inexpedience of acquisition of shares of the ferry line St. Petersburg – Helsinki operator Stella Naves Oy.
«We consider there is no necessity in it, as if the project is effective investors can involve financial means independently, without city’s support», Asaul noted.
The ferry communication between Helsinki and St. Petersburg was opened in August 2008 and stopped on October 8 because income from transportation was not covering company’s expenses for the line.
