Kuehne + Nagel adopts IAS drayage tracking software
Kuehne + Nagel has adopted cloud-based software to better track and communicate with container drayage haulers.
The Swiss logistics company said more than 100 U.S. trucking companies are using IAS Dispatch since the software was rolled in September. Kuehne + Nagel said it plans to expand software usage to trucking companies in Canada and possibly other parts of the Americas.
“IAS has the largest intermodal haulage network in North America, a great relationship with the North American trucking community and a solution that was able to quickly and easily integrate into Kuehne + Nagel’s back-end systems,” said Brian Shultz, IAS senior vice president of sales and marketing.
IAS, based in Oakland, Calif., connects thousands of trading partners in more than 70 countries by providing software aimed at gaining efficiencies in global container shipping and intermodal transport. The company said its software is used by 14 of the top 20 ocean carriers; seven of the top 10 equipment lessors; two of the top three freight forwarders; more than 2,800 depots and terminals; and 1,600 motor carrier facilities.
