EuroChem plans to inaugurate its new facility for handling fertilizer based in the Port of Ust-Luga in late 2013, a EuroChem spokesperson told PortNews.
The projected annual capacity of the terminal’s first phase will be about 900,000 tons. Currently, the quay wall construction is underway as well as the terminal designing, said Vladimir Torin, head of Public Relations and Communications Department of EuroChem.
EuroChem is Russia’s largest mineral fertilizer producer and ranks among the top three European and ten global producers of fertilizer. EuroChem is the only chemical company in Russia, which combines production, refining, logistics and distribution network across the world.
