Container shipments through Vladivostok Container Terminal (VCT) in January-February 2012 increased by 17% year-on-year to 56,357 TEUs, the company statistics said.
In February, VCT container throughput rose 10.3% to 29,559 TEUs. During the period the stevedore unloaded/loaded 33 vessels with an average of 895TEUs per vessel from 837 TEUs in Feb. 2011. The monthly volume of exports totaled 12,504 TEUs, imports – 9,498 TEUs, short sea traffic – 7,557 TEUs.
