MOL, Evergreen to launch new Asia-US service

Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Evergreen announced on Thursday a new service to ship cargoes from major Asian ports to the US East Coast via the Suez Canal, Seatrade Asia online reports. The new SVS (South China/Vietnam-the US South East Coast) service will be jointly operated by MOL and Evergreen. MOL will provide nine ships and Evergreen one ship, with the capacity range of 4,500-5,600 teu per ship.

The MOL Partner will depart Hong Kong on 3 June. The port rotation will be Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Suez Canal, Algeciras, Norfolk, Savannah, Jacksonville, Charleston, Algeciras, Suez Canal, Singapore, Cai Mep and back to Hong Kong.
