Europe West Indies Lines (EWL) has completed its four ship chartering program in order to execute its expansion plans in co-operation with fruit trader Fyffes International. EWL has chartered the MEDOCEAN (1,296 teu - newbuilding), EL TORO (1,118 teu - newbuilding), STADT EMDEN (1,102 teu) and MELFI HAVANA (1,102 teu - sublet).
Two of them will strengthen the NW Europe-Halifax-Caribbean-NCSA-ECCA service (6062), adding to the four ships currently plying the service, while two other ones will be assigned to the new EWL feeder service .
