DCT Gdańsk expected to join world's top ports
In the next two years DCT Gdańsk will find itself among the world's top 100 seaports, reported Puls Biznesu. This is a result of the completion of the port's new 250 million cargo terminal, which will enable it to increase the number of containers from 650,000 a year to 900,000.
The port is also preparing a further investment to create a second terminal worth at least 250 million. The new terminal is planned to begin operating by 2015, and once completed DCT Gdańsk will qualify as one of the top 30 ports in the world in terms of the amount of containers passing through it each year.
