Samudera sells two bulkers
Indonesia's Samudera Shipping Line is disposing two dry bulk carriers to cash in a total of $3.25m, Seatrade Asia Online reports.
The vessels, Sinar Barito and Sinar Borneo, both built in 2003 with a capacity of 4,700 dwt each, were valued equally at $1.62m per vessel and sold to PT Alfa Trans Raya.
The net book value of Sinar Barito and Sinar Borneo, as at 30 April 2012, was approximately $1.32m and $1.27m respectively.
“The disposal is in line with the group's strategy to maintain a balance business portfolio and to divest non-performing assets,” Samudera said.
