Net profit of Murmansk Commercial Seaport down 5.5% in 9M06

Net profit of Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC under Russian Accounting Standards decreased by 5.5% in January-September 2006, year-on-year, to RUR 207 million, Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner. Accounts payable of MCS was down from RUR 79.7 million as of January 1, 2006 to RUR 45.9 million as of September 30, 2006. Short-term accounts receivable grew from RUR 138.2 as of January 1, 2006 to RUR 175.2 million as of September 30, 2006, while long-term accounts receivable fell from RUR 3.4 million to RUR 3.2 million.

Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC is a stevedoring company of Murmansk port. Murmansk Sea Trade Port is the largest coal transshipment point in the North Sea Basin. The company is also specializes on transshipment of apatite, general cargo including containers.
