Vision Fleet carries 1.6 million tons of oil products in summer navigation 06

In summer navigation of 2006 Vision fleet exported 1.649 million tons of oil products (heavy fuel oil), the company’s press release reports.

In particular, 1 486 thou tons of oil products were delivered to the port of Saint Petersburg (the off-harbor transshipment complex of In-Transit CJSC »), 162 thou tons - to the off-harbor transshipment complexes of Kerch and Caucasus ports. Oil products were shipped from two refineries of Rosneft in Samaras (total volume of 1 419 thou tons) and Nizhnekamski plant of TAIF Group (229 thou tons).

In 2005 the vessels of Vision Fleet and companies of Tanker Union transported oil products mainly from Kstov refinery of LUKOIL company. The change of the route in 2006 resulted in a 802-km extension of the way for heavy fuel oil transportation. However, total volume of oil products transported in 2006 grew by 7% against 2005.

Vision Fleet LLC was set up in 2001 by transport companies SFAT, Rivertrans Shipping and Nasdor Inc. in equal shares. The company is the second largest river bulk-oil shipping company in Russia.  The company operates over 40 own tankers and barges with a total deadweight of about 120 thou tons. Considering chartered vessels the fleet numbers 60 units with a total deadweight of almost 200 thou tons.
