Transcontainer has opened representative office of RZD subsidiary in Byelorussia today, RZD-Partner reports. Transcontainer representative office will provide the complete range of services on organization of transportation by its own rolling stock in its containers and will carry out integrated marketing on attraction of cargo to international railway routes crossing Byelorussia and Russia.
In the 10-month period of 2006 volume of high-capacity containers carried by railway transport between Russia and Byelorussia totaled 10.3 thou TEU (+29% against year-on-year result). Transit grew by 75% to 2.7 thou TEU.
