Wartsila among 100 most sustainable corporations in the world
Wartsila is, for the first time, included in the list of the 100 most sustainable companies in the world. The companies included in the Global 100 were considered to have managed their environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities best among their industry peers. The list was published at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday. “This recognition is a clear testimonial to Wärtsilä’s long-term commitment to sustainable development, and it indicates that we are on the right track in developing our sustainability performance. This gives us an excellent platform on which to base the further improvement of our products, solutions, and our operations in general,” says Marko Vainikka, General Manager, Sustainability, Wärtsilä Corporation.
