Senator Lines discontinues services
Hanjin Shipping's German subsidiary, Senator Lines, has announced that it will discontinue its services.
Recognising the need to rationalise its business, particularly considering the deteriorating shipping market and the global economic recession, Senator Lines' shareholders and board have decided to process the service discontinuation.
Hanjin Shipping will use the slot previously provided to Senator Lines.
Meanwhile, the merge with its Korean bulk-oriented affiliate Keoyang Shipping last year enabled Hanjin to control its bulk division more effectively, and Hanjin says it will continue its efforts to improve management efficiency by streamlining its organisation and business.
