Latvian ports handled 3.5 million tons of chemical loose bulk cargo in 9M06

Latvian ports handled 3.5 million tons of chemical loose bulk cargo in January-September 2006 (-46.3% against year-on-year result), RZD-Partner reports. Ventspils port totaled 2.529 million tons (-33.7%, year-on-year, which makes 72.4% of total volume of chemical loose bulk cargo). Riga harbor – 952.5 thou tons (-9.7% year-on-year, which makes 27.6% of total volume). All in all Latvian ports handled 45.303 million tons of cargo in the reported period.
