OPK and Sovcomflot to sign agreement on cooperation at Petersburg Economic International Forum

United Industrial Corporation (OPK) and Sovcomflot plan to sign agreement on cooperation during St. Petersburg Economic International Forum which is to be held on June 4-6 of the current year, PortNews IAA learnt from OPK press center. No details have been disclosed by the companies yet.

 

United Industrial Corporation (OPK) is one of Russia’s largest diversified corporations managing more than 300 bn rubles’ worth of assets. OPK is managing shipbuilding assets, including such industry majors as Severnaya Verf, Baltiysky Zavod, Iceberg Design Office, and other machine-building facilities.

 

Sovcomflot OJSC is Russia’s largest shipping company and the world’s fifth-largest tanker company. Its fleet comprises 133 vessels with total deadweight of some 9.47 million tonnes. The Group’s current backlog of orders numbers 30 vessels with total deadweight of 2.52 million tonnes.
