Russia edged oil and gas condensate production down 0.2% year-on-year in January-May to 202.05 million tonnes (9.808 million barrels a day), the Fuel and Energy central Dispatch Center said according to Interfax.
May oil production came to 41.614 million tonnes (9.84 million bpd).
The Rosneft (RTS: ROSN) oil company produced 46.827 million tonnes of oil in the five months (9.677 million tonnes in May), Lukoil (RTS: LKOH) - 38.334 million tonnes (7.876 million tonnes), TNK-BP (RTS: TNBP) -28.526 million tonnes (5.941 million tonnes), Surgutneftegas (RTS: SNGS) - 24.655 million tonnes (5.027 million tonnes), Gazprom Neft (RTS: SIBN) - 12.193 million tonnes (2.528 million tonnes), Tatneft (RTS: TATN) - 10.777 million tonnes (2.213 million tonnes), Slavneft - 7.824 million tonnes (1.596 million tonnes) and RussNeft - 5.318 million tonnes (1.079 million tonnes).
Russian enterprises and partly foreign-owned joint ventures produced 10.618 million tonnes of oil in the five months, including 1.079 million tonnes in May.
Gas giant Gazprom (RTS: GAZP) produced 4.692 million tonnes of oil in the five months (988,000 tonnes in May), and production-sharing agreement (PSA) operators - 6.009 million tonnes (1.217 million tonnes).
Russian gas production plummeted 19.3% year-on-year in the five months to 237.694 billion cubic meters, including 40.037 bcm in May.
Gazprom produced 188.572 bcm (30.378 bcm), NOVATEK (RTS: NVTK) - 13.387 bcm (2.605 bcm) and other oil and gas companies - 6.195 bcm (1.01 bcm).
