Rosneft eyeing export of oil products via Gunvor terminal in Ust-Luga

Rosneft is eyeing export of oil products via Gunvor terminal in Ust-Luga, Gudok quotes the company’s head Sergei Bogdanchikov as telling journalist at XIII Petersburg Economic Forum.

According to Sergei Bogdanchikov, the company does not consider transshipment of oil products via yet-to-be-built Gunvor terminal in Novorossiysk.

As it was reported earlier Swiss oil trader Gunvor plans to complete construction of 25-mln t oil terminal in Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) by the end of 2009 Усть-Луге. The terminal will handle the entire range of oil products, mainly heavy fuel oil.

Apart from this, Gunvor has acquired 50% of a joint venture in Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC for construction of a heavy fuel terminal in Novorossiysk.

Gunvor is the third largest oil trader in the world. About 30% of oil and petroleum products is exported through it from Russia.
