Octogon GAS & Logistics SRL plans to build first LPG terminal in Romania

Romania is set to have its first LPG marine terminal. The first LPG tanker to call and discharge there is expected early next year, reports said.
Octogon GAS & Logistics SRL has announced plans to build the terminal in the Black Sea port of Midia. Designed for a total capacity of 4,000 m³, the new facilities will require an investment of 8.8 million euros ($12.3 million).
Financing will be furnished by Banca Transilvania, an Octogon spokesman was quoted saying. “The sea LPG terminal will be the most modern in the Black Sea area and will be fully automatic and it meets all the EU and the US laws on environment's safety and protection,” he added. LPG stored at the terminal is slated to be supplied to consumers via train, tankers and barges.
