Throughput of Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port down 55% to 1.033 mln t in Jan-May 09

In January-May 2009, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC handled 1.033 million tonnes of cargo (-55%, year-on-year), the company states, In the reported period the company imported 194,300 tonnes of cargo (down 2.7 times) and exported 839,300 tonnes of cargo (down 2.1 times). The company’s container throughput fell 4.4 times to 12,377 TEU.

In May, the company’s turnover fell over 3.7 times to 111,100 tonnes including 42,800 tonnes of import cargo (down 2.7 times) and 68,300 tonnes of export cargo (down 4.4 times). Container throughput dell 4.5 times to 2,369 TEU.
