Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port will not pay dividends for 2008

The general meeting of the shareholders of Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port (ASCP OJSC) decided not to pay dividends for 2008, Gudok refers to the company according to Interfax.

Net profit totaling RUR 23.859 mln will be spent in particular for reconstruction of cargo ground and fuelling station as well as for purchase of new marine tractors.

The shareholders also elected the BOD and approved the company’s financial statements for 2008. Rsoexpertiza LLC was approved the company’s Auditor.

The only point of the agenda which was not approved by the meeting was the deal with Norilsk Nickel for cargo transshipment services.

Archangelsk Sea Commercial Port is a stevedoring company operating in the port of Archangelsk. In 2008 the company handled 1.764 million tonnes of cargo (+19.3%, year-on-year). Net profit increased2.6 times to RUR 23.859 mln. Major shareholders of Arkhangelsk Sea Commercial Port are Norilsk Nickel Company – 73.23% of shares and Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimushchestvo) - 20%.
