By the end of 2009, Russian Transport Lines plans to accept some 1,000 automobiles via port Vladivostok. The first batch of foreign cars (59 cars) has already been accepted within the framework of cooperation with Vladivostok Automobile Terminal.
This year the share of import cars accepted by RTL Group via VAT will not exceed 10% of the Group’s total volume. However this is a promising route comparable to the existing supply chain via North-West region (terminals of Sea Fishing Port in Big Port of St. Petersburg and Novaya Gavan in Ust-Luga) and the Southern Russia (port Kavkaz and Novoshakhtinsk terminal).
The Far Eastern route provides a possibility to save time and cost when delivering automobiles to their end users in Urals region, Siberia, Primorje and Far East.

From May 2009, Novaya Gavan is included in the limits of Ust-Luga port by the order of RF Government. In 2009, RTL completed establishment of its own transport company RTL-Auto with the fleet of 100 car carriers. From 2008, RTL Group operated in the third and the forth districts of the Big Port of St. Petersburg under agreement with Sea Port of Saint Petersburg OJSC. On July 25, 2008, RTL Group opened a terminal in Novoshakhtinsk.
