Hyundai to launch a plant in SPb with a projected capacity of 100,000 cars a year in 2010

Hyundai, which holds 38.67% in Kia, has been invited to assemble Kia Cerato and a new car on the Rio platform at a plant in St. Petersburg, a source close to Kia and one of the company's dealers said. 

A Kia spokesperson confirmed the fact of negotiations with Hyundai but refrained from more comments. Until lately, Kia has been a major partner of IzhAvto ('IzhAvto Lacks Drive').
