On June 23, oil company Rosneft and Russian Federal Fishery Agency (Rosrybolovstvo) signed an Agreement on Cooperation. According to the information department of Rosneft the document was signed by Rosneft President Sergei Bogdanchikov and head of Rosrybolovstvo Andrei Kraini. Within the framework of the new Agreement Rosneft will develop and submit to Rosrybolovstvo its proposals on bunkering of fishing vessels in sea terminals designed for comprehensive servicing of sea vessels.
The Agreement is aimed at implementation of the Conception on RF fishing industry development till 2020.
The company hopes that cooperation with the Agency will enable Rosneft not only reinforce its position at the bunkering market but also to contribute to the development of Russian fishing industry.
Rosneft is one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. Rosneft conducts oil and gas exploration and production activities. Some 75% of the company’s shares are owned by the Government. Rosneft is in the list of Russia’s strategic companies. In 2008 net profit of Rosneft calculated according to US GAAP totaled $11.12 bln.
