United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK) will establish a design bureau specializing in commercial shipbuilding PortNews reporter cites Valery Venkov, head of OSK Department for Advanced Development, as telling journalists within the framework of International Maritime Defence Show. As of today OSK comprises 9 design bureaus. According to Venkov, the new design bureau will be established on the basis of the existing ones.
“Establishment of the new design bureau of commercial shipbuilding will ensure high-quality designs based on up-to-date methods,” Venkov notes.
United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK OJSC) with 100% federal ownership was set up in 2007. OSK comprises three daughter companies: Open JSC «Western Center of Shipbuilding» (St.-Petersburg), Open JSC «Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region) and Open JSC «Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Vladivostok).
