Shipyards of RF Defense Ministry to affiliate with OSK by September 2009

United Shipbuilding Corporation will complete affiliation of shipyards owned by RF Defense Ministry in September 2009, PortNews reporter cites Yury Tsvetkov, first vise-President of the Corporation, as telling journalists at IV International Maritime Defense Show in St. Petersburg. According to Yury Tsvetkov there are 4 shipyards on the balance of the Ministry today.

United Shipbuilding Corporation (OSK OJSC) with 100% federal ownership was set up in 2007. OSK comprises three daughter companies: Open JSC «Western Center of Shipbuilding» (St.-Petersburg), Open JSC «Northern Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk region) and Open JSC «Far East Center of Shipbuilding and Ship Repair» (Vladivostok).
