In bidding on overall vehicle logistics operations for the new plant, MOL won contracts for inland transport and yard operation of completed cars for export, which it believes should lead to ocean shipping in the future.
The Japanese transportation giant established MOL Auto Logistics (India) in Chennai in November 2008 and began inland transport of completed cars in April 2009.The company claims that the new order resulted from "MOL’s reputation for superior performance in completed car transport throughout Asia".
