As PortNews IAA learnt from Vice-PM of RF Government Sergei Ivanov after the meeting held in Ust-Luga port, the Baltic Pipeline System - 2 (BPS-2) will come to port Ust-Luga in 2011-12. Both the pipeline of BPS-2 and the end terminal in Ust-Luga port will be managed by Transneft.
“It will enable us no to depend on the behavior of transit countries crossed by Druzhba pipeline. Thus we are to obtain complete transport independence. Both the pipeline of BPS-2 and the transshipment terminal will be managed by Transneft. This was determined long time ago,” Sergei Ivanov said.
