Commenting results the taken place in Poti board of directors of ferries Poti-Batumi-Illychevsk-Varna, he has noted, that the complex both organizational, and technical questions connected with prospect of intensification of a ferry communication between Georgia, Ukraine and Bulgaria has been discussed.
"Participants of the meeting represented the ports, railways and companies of freight traffic of three countries, have made the decision to increase amount of ferry trips with the purpose of cargo turnover increase", - E.Machavariani has said.
In particular, he has noted, that if now from Poti 4-5 trips to Ilyichevsk and Varna is carried out monthly in the near future their amount is planned to increase up to 6-7.
"It will allow to increase appreciablly a cargo turnover not only of ports, in particular Poti, ferry transportations of which make 15-20 % of its turnover of goods, but also railways of three countries" - the sales manager of corporation has explained.
100%-stake of the Open Company "Poti seaport " owns the company Rak Investment Authority (United Arab Emirates) which has got it ans its ground areas in 2008 for $155 one million.
