Ventbunkers earned LVL 2.06 mln in 2008

Ventspils transit company Ventbunkers concluded the year 2008 with LVL 2.06 million profit, according to the Register of Enterprises' Lursoft data.

 

In 2007, the profit of Ventbunkers stood at LVL 4.5 million, whilst in 2006 it totaled LVL 13.8 million.

 

Last year, Ventbunkers achieved LVL 32.86 million in turnover, which is almost double increase on the results of 2007, when the company's turnover was LVL 18.1 million, reports LETA.

 

According to the auditor's report, the Netherlands-registered companies Yelverton Investment B.V andYelverton Investments B.V" each owns 29.075% of Ventbunkers shares.

 

Ventbunkers shareholders also include Topmar Baltic Investments – 13.34%, Kemnet with 13.33%, IAG Industrieanlagen Gesellschaft mbH" – 9.6%- and its subsidiary IAG Ltd. – 3.6%.

 

Ventbunkers terminal is one of Latvia's largest oil terminals. Last year the amount of oil and oil products handled at the terminal made up 20 percent of the total volume of transshipments at Ventspils Port.
