From April 2014, 3,200 t of foreign cargo delivered to port Sabetta under Yamal LNG project, says press center of Urals Customs Service.
Cargo being under customs transit procedure was delivered by five ice class vessels (M/V Yury Arshenevsky, Vladimir Ignatyuk, Ivan Ryabov, Kapitan Danilkin, Ivan Papanin) with the escort of nuclear icebreakers from port Arkhangelsk.
The first declaration was supplied to Salekhard customs on April 8, 2014.
Total customs value of cargo delivered to the port makes RUB 310,484,374.
Yamal LNG project includes the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG). The plant will consist of three liquefaction trains with overall capacity of 16.5 million tonnes per annum based on the hydrocarbon resources of the South Tambeyskoye field with proven and probable gas reserves according to PRMS standard estimated at 802 bn cbm of gas and 31 m of gas condensate. Start of commissioning works at the first liquefaction train is scheduled for 2016 with the planned commercial launch of the first LNG train in 2017. The Project also requires the construction of transport infrastructure including a sea-port facility and an international airport located at Sabetta (north-east of the Yamal Peninsula).
