Russian federal fisheries agency chief Andrei Krayniy has called on the world fishing community not to fear to invest in the country’s fish processing industry, Itar-Tass reports.
He invited participants in the fourth international congress of fishermen to take part in the international fisheries exhibition Interfish due in Moscow this autumn.
“We seriously want to upgrade our fishing fleet and our fish processing industries and we would like to see with whom we will cooperate in the near future,” Krayniy said.
Rosrybolovstvo chief believes that “big investments of foreign companies into Russia’s fishing and fish-processing industry will be cost-effective for these companies.”
