In January-September 2014, Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC handled 2.447 mln t (-23.5%, year-on-year), the stevedoring company says.
In the reported period, transshipment of ferrous metal fell by 23% to 787,900 t, coal and coke – climbed by 12.8% to 228,100 t, oil products – plunged 4.6 times to 57,500, scrap metal – increased 8.4% to 103,100 t.
The port’s container throughput declined by 2.8% to 113,920 TEUs.
Kaliningrad Sea Commercial Port OJSC is the largest enterprise of the regional port complex. Practically all means of transport and the basic part of the export-import freight traffic passing through the region, close in the port. In 2013, the port’s throughput totaled 4.068 mln tonnes.
