Second column for a reforming unit aimed to produce high-octane gasoline of European standard was delivered to Tuapse Refinery (Krasnodar Territory) on July 22, 2015 under Rosneft’s large-scale investment programme on mdernization. The column weighing 470 t was manufactured by Volgogradneftemash OJSC. With its length of 67 meters and diameter of 8 meters it is the the largest unit delevered in 2015. According to the Company’s press center, the equipment covered the distance of 800 km: from Volgograd to Azov by river barge and then across the Black Sea to Tuapse berth built specially for heavy-weight equipment.
The statement says the unloading operation was completed in record-breaking time – 5 hours.
In May 2015, the company accepted the delivery of a 56-long column weighing 300 t.
In 2013, the company accepted the delivery of six columns for a hydrocracking complex aimed to produce diesel fuel of Euro 5 standard.
Tuapse refinery in the Krasnodar region has been part of Rosneft since the Company’s establishment, and is the oldest Rosneft’s refinery (commissioned in 1929). The plant has the most favorable location among Rosneft’s refineries, and is also the only Russian refinery on the Black Sea coast.
The construction of a new plant at the territory of Tuapse Refinery consists of three phases. The first phase was completed in October, 2013. The project for expansion of capacities at the Tuapse Refinery from 4.5 to 12 mln tonnes per year has a special place in the Company’s refining development program. The project involves construction on the territory of the existing plant of an entirely new refinery with a Nelson Complexity Index rating of about 9 and with 98.5% refining depth.
