Vympel Shipyard launches tenth Chibis-class boat of project 21850 (photo)
On September 16, 2015, Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) launched the tenth Chibis-class coast guard patrol boat of project 21850, the shipyard’s press center says.
Manufacturer’s sea trials will commence in a couple of days.
Chibis-class boat launched on September 3 (Hull No 02129) has already undergone manufacturer’s sea trials and is under acceptance/delivery tests with certificate to be signed early next week. Then the boat will leave for Baltijsk (Kaliningrad Region).
Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region based Vympel Shipyard is a fast-growing company specializing in building of medium-, small-tonnage sea-going and river vessels and boats both for military and civil sectors.
