On 2 June 2017, RF Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov awarded the winners of the regatta dedicated to the Day of Marine and Inland Water Fleet, IAA PortNews correspondent reports from Saint-Petersburg.
When opening the regatta, the Minister reminded that the first regatta dedicated to the professional holiday was held last year in Moscow. This year it was arranged in Saint-Petersburg by Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency) and Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping.
The regatta participants included the teams of the Ministry of Transport, FSUE Rosmorport, FSUE Morsviazsputnik, Morsoyuzspas, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, Russian River Register, Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, Saint-Petersburg Marine Technical College named after Admiral Sinyavin, Sea Club of Saint-Petersburg City Palace of Youth Creativity and Directorate for the development of transport system in Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
The Platu 25 class winners – the team of Rosmorrechflot’s Sea Rescue Service (yacht named Sura), Rosmorrechflot (Umba) and Rosmorport (Inza). The 1/4 Ton class winners – Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping (Berkut), Directorate for the development of transport system in Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and Sea Club ‘Yunga’ (Alliance).
The Minister also took part in festive events organized by Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping. The events were also attended by Victor Olersky, Deputy Minister of Transport, Head of Rosmorrechflot; Aleksandr Poshivai, Deputy Head of Rosmorrechflot; Sergei Baryshnikov, Recor of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping; etc.
