The first open-water training of the Navy warships taking part on 30 July in the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg and Kronstadt was held in the designated area of the Eastern part of the Gulf of Finland, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
About 15 ships of the main types took part in the training, including the missile cruiser ‘Marshal Ustinov’ and the major ASW ship ‘Vice-Admiral Kulakov’. During the training, the ships practiced the elements of mutual manoeuvring, column movement. The actions of ship teams “ship’s main command post – combat information post – navigator”, as well as the knowledge of the local navigational features by watch officers and navigational specialists were checked. Also, issues of organisation of signal communications between ships were worked out.
