On July 17th, a festive welcome of the legendary four-masted barque "Sedov" took place at Passenger Port of St. Petersburg.

The training sailing boat set out to the Baltic Sea from the port of Svetly in the Kaliningrad region on June 18th along with 114 cadets from maritime educational institutions of Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Kerch and Kaliningrad. Young sailors have sailing training for two months.

The vessel will also take part in the international regatta of large sailing ships The Tall Ships Race 2017 (STI). The completion of the training is scheduled for August 18th in Kaliningrad.

Examination commissions awarded and confirmed the working qualifications of the "watch sailor", "ship electrician" and "motorman" to 77 trainees.
